Our Host Course
Desert Willow Golf Resort, 38-995 Desert Willow Drive (off Country Club Drive), Palm Desert, is the chapter's host course. Telephone: 760/346-7060.

The resort, with two 18-hole championship layouts (Firecliff and Mountain View), is the site of the 2001 Office Depot EWGA
Championship Finals in November 2001.
Desert Willow

Desert Willow also has a large practice area with chipping and putting greens, and a clubhouse with restaurant, bar and private rooms.

Firecliff, built in 1997, uses exclusively the natural elements of the native desert environment and features sand dunes, ocotillo and sage, streams meandering to lakes, and ancient rocks that line a quiet canyon and inviting green fairways. Yardage from the forward tees is 5,079, rating 69.0, and slope 120.

Mountain View, built in 1998, also stays true to its native desert environment but has more water holes than Firecliff. Yardage from the forward tees is 4,997, rating is 68.9, and slope is 116.

This relationship with Desert Willow brings several benefits to the Palm Springs/Desert Cities chapter, its members, and EWGA members nationwide:

  • Several chapter outings per year at the course-at special, discounted prices to members.
  • Two new-golfer, six-week instruction sessions per year-instructed by LPGA and PGA teaching professionals. For members only.
  • Green-fee discounts for EWGA members living in and outside the Desert.
  • Hosting multi-chapter events at Desert Willow.
